1. Windows Vista Compatibility

Please note that the current versions of Learning to Weave the Interactive Way CD-ROM, the Toika CD-ROM,
The Diary of Joshua Hempstead CD-ROM, and the How to Knit CD-ROM will not work under the 64 bit version of Windows Vista.

Note also that these software programs have not yet been tested with the x86 version of Windows Vista.

Therefore it is not recommended to try using current versions of Learning to Weave the Interactive Way CD-ROM, the Toika CD-ROM, The Diary of Joshua Hempstead CD-ROM, or the How to Knit CD-ROM with any version of Windows Vista.

2. Sound Card Patch

This section of the Website gives software patch information for Learning to Weave the Interactive Way and the Toika CD-ROM. Some computers don't play sound with these programs because a few sound card manufacturers have rewritten the way that their software drivers behave, since the time that these CD-ROMs were released. The sound issue typically affects computers running Windows 98, Me, 2000, and XP. Windows® 98, 2000, ME, and XP users please note: if none of the movies run sound on either the Learning to Weave the Interactive Way CD-ROM or the Toika CD-ROM, you may require a patch that is downloadable for free from this Web site. The patch is a self-extracting program that installs updated software drivers. Simply download and save the patch program to your computer's local disk drive. Then run the patch program from your computer's local disk drive and follow onscreen directions. The name of the patch program is Patch_v1.exe. You must agree to the terms of the Software Patch License Agreement to download and/ or use the software patch.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to install the CD-ROM program before installing the patch.
